Information you enter
When you request aviation weather, the airport identifiers you enter are transmitted to the services needed to retrieve and display the requested information.
Information stored on your device
Saved airports, favourites and app preferences are stored locally on your device. PowerHouse AeroWeather does not maintain a user-account database.
Technical information
The app relies on internet infrastructure and third-party service providers to deliver weather information. Those providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as an IP address, request time, device or browser headers, and requested airport identifiers, for delivery, reliability, diagnostics, abuse prevention and security. PowerHouse AeroWeather does not use this information to build advertising profiles or sell personal information.
Third-party information services
METAR and TAF information is obtained from the U.S. Aviation Weather Center. Requests for Canadian ATIS information may be processed through the app's infrastructure and NAV CANADA services, and Canadian RVR links may open NAV CANADA websites. Information handled by those services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Advertising, tracking and payments
PowerHouse AeroWeather does not display third-party advertising, use cross-app tracking, process payments or sell personal information.
Children’s privacy
The app is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not require users to create an account or submit personal details.
Data security and retention
PowerHouse AeroWeather does not intentionally retain personal information on its own user database. Limited diagnostic or security logs may be retained temporarily by infrastructure providers according to their operational and legal requirements. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
You can remove locally saved favourites and preferences through the app or by deleting the app from your device. You may contact us with questions about this policy.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its supporting services change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
